IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT/INFOSEC)

Description:

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT/INFOSEC) in the Database Administration (DBA)/SQL/Oracle Support Branch (10915), IT Infrastructure & Operations Division (1091), Information Technology & Cybersecurity (ITACS) Office (109) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience maintaining and monitoring Oracle and/or Structured Query Language (SQL) server databases to ensure reliability and accessibility.
• Experience performing regular system checks, reviewing logs, and taking corrective actions to resolve performance or availability issues.
• Experience applying database Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), security patches, vulnerability scans, and Information Assurance (IA) updates to safeguard data and systems.
• Experience planning, testing, and applying vendor patches, and configuration changes to Oracle and/or SQL Server environments.
