SHIPWRIGHT WORKER

Description:

You will serve as a Shipwright Worker located in the Service Shop (Code 990), Production Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. - Ability to do the theoretical, precise, and/or artistic work applies to skilled and semi-skilled occupations.
- Ability to construct new, one-of-a-kind items. Invent new methods.
- Ability to plan/layout/set up operations.
- Ability to Interpret blueprints, sketches, docking worksheets, and job orders to perform the duties of the shipwright trade.
- Ability to utilize written procedures, work methods, and approved work sequences to review completed shipwright work.
