Description:
You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (OPERATIONS) in the Production Resources Department (Code 900), Operations Division (Code 901) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience in shipyard work operations and trades and shop practices;
- Experience in all phases of nuclear/refueling and non-nuclear submarine and surface ship repair and overhaul work;
- Experience managing major projects involving direction through trade supervision;
- Experience in Shipyard structure, naval ship overhaul processes and administrative and organizational requirements of all phases of the manufacturing and repair of naval ships and components;
- Experience utilizing metrics, performance indicators and statistical process control to improve shipyard programs;
- Experience in establishing program priorities and requirements to meet the overall Improvement and missions;
- Experience providing both administrative and technical supervision and providing instruction to workers and managers involved in the overhaul, repair, refueling, and testing of naval nuclear submarines and surface ships.
