Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PIPING NUCLEAR INTERNAL SHOP MANAGER in the Pipe Shop (Code 960) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience serving as a project manager determining, identifying, and providing resolution of changing work situations, operational, and maintenance problems with shipyard work operations, control system requirements and ship's personnel.
  • Experience applying administrative knowledge of trade work and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes associated with the repair and overhaul of Navy vessels.
  • Experience managing a project or portion of a project involving the directing of federal wage system and general schedule employees.
  • Experience in project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control and work flow control techniques to correct negative trends.
  • Experience applying Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Federal/State environmental regulations and local instructions that outline requirements for training and qualifications.
