Description:

You will serve as a Management Analyst (Congressional Liaison) in the Congressional and Public Affairs Office of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

Requirements:

For GS-13 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector .

Resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience:

Experience preparing memos, correspondence, legislative summaries, briefing materials and information for command level and higher-level authorities.
  • Experience with various congressional offices, within the Department of Defense (DOD), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), Department of Transportation (DOT), etc.
  • Experience developing and coordinating responses to inquiries by written correspondence and oral communications to encourage recipients to adopt positions on a variety of maritime-related issues.
  • Experience utilizing contacts or training others to make contacts designed to obtain input from several offices on pertinent issues and developing consensus positions from among divergent viewpoints. Incumbent must possess experience and have a working knowledge of current state of the art LAN-based office data processing systems and practical experience with desktop PC workstation, graphics and presentation software.
