This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for Serve as a Branch Chief and perform as a senior transportation specialist applying military mobility experience to plan, organize and implement operating policies, revise directives, influence doctrine, and performs as the Command's Special Technical Operations (STO) expert.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-GS-14 if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Providing overall direction and vision to subordinates on a wide range of transportation, traffic management, logistics and supply-chain management, distribution, and administrative issues.
- Experience in management of government / military organizations and personnel, skilled in personnel leadership, management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively supervise personnel and transportation require
- Planning and organizing complex work, collaborating, planning and meeting critical deadlines transportation requirements across the globe supporting Federal Agencies, OSW, DOD, Joint Staff and Combatant Command SAP, ACCM and/or SCI, requirements across the SAP security enterprise.
- Experience in management of government / military organizations and personnel, skilled in personnel leadership, management principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to effectively supervise personnel and transportation requirements
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
