Description:

This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory HR Specialist over HR personnel providing highly complex management advisory, technical services and appellant-level review regarding classification, position management and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) processes for DoD-wide customers.

Requirements:

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the13 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Providing expert advisory services on position classification, position management, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) determinations for complex or sensitive positions.
  • Developing or contributing to classification policy, technical guidance, standard job descriptions, or implementing instructions for HR specialists and management officials.
  • Providing work direction, mentoring, or quality review of classification work products completed by HR specialists or team members.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
