Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the CLASSIFICATION & SPECIAL PROGRAMS DEPARTMENT of the FLEET HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of FLEET HRO NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience applying comprehensive knowledge of Classification rules, regulations, and advises management in accomplishment of their responsibility, delivers HR projects in a high-quality customer service environment.
  • Experience providing comprehensive advice to employees and management on position classification processes and position management policies including supervisory ratios, job restructuring, and reorganizations.
  • Experience resolving complex classification issues and provides recommendations for improvements on position and organization structures.
  • Experience providing advisory decisions and assistance with classification appeal procedures, ensures that the appeal complies with DOD and OPM requirements.
