Description:

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida's (USAO-SDFL) mission is to enforce and defend the laws of the United States of America through the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government; the prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the United States is a party; and the collection of debts owed to the Federal government that are administratively uncollectible.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

To qualify at the GS-07 level, you must possess:

Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (2) of the (3) duties listed below:
  • Assisting with human resources management functions in one or more areas such as position classification, recruitment and placement, employee relations, performance management, or employee benefits.
  • Maintaining official personnel records and processing basic personnel actions.
  • Applying basic analytical and evaluation techniques to assist in resolving factual, procedural, or recurring HR issues.
OR one full year of graduate level education, OR completion of a bachelor's degree AND also meet the requirements under the superior academic achievement provision, OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.

To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must possess:

Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
  • Utilizing human resources personnel and/or pay systems.
  • Identifying human resources issues to provide an appropriate course of action.
  • Providing technical services in at least one of the following: staffing and recruitment, position classification and position management; performance management, and/or employee relations.
  • Preparing and/or presenting human resources finding or providing human resources training.
OR two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
