Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Metrology Calibration Center (MARCC)(Code 137), Metrology Laboratory Branch (Code 1373), Quality Assurance Office(Code 130), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience applying knowledge of metrology theory and applicable principles, including the calibration and repair of higher level Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • Experience supervising, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing mechanical and electronic calibration technicians in support of Fleet readiness.
  • Experience identifying and analyzing the latest developments in metrology to solve organizational issues and ensure the effectiveness of Test and Monitoring Systems (TAMS).
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and verifying the adequacy of calibration capability when compared to customer requirements across various measurement disciplines.
  • Experience addressing and resolving conflict, accurately evaluating employees, and identifying and providing appropriate training and resources they may need.
