You will serve as a SUPERVISORY CHEMIST in the Laboratory Quality and Accreditation Office (Code1561) in the Quality Performance Control Division (Code 1560) of the Naval Shipyard Support Office (Code 1500) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Experience applying principles and practices of chemistry that enable the incumbent to apply experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods.
- Experience interpreting requirements related to laboratory testing and providing expert advice to agency and command headquarters and field personnel.
- Experience developing policy, technical manuals, and guidance documents for material testing and environmental sciences.
