About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Oasis Pool (Outdoor Recreation) on Dover Air Force Base .
As a FLEX employee, you may work anywhere between 0-40 hours per week, on an as needed basis.
NOTE : This position is temporary, NOT TO EXCEED 12-SEP-2026.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have minimum 3 years lifeguard experience. Must possess a valid, nationally recognized lifeguard certification with lifesaving, water rescue methods, skills, and procedures. Valid, nationally recognized basic first aid certification required. Must possess a valid nationally recognized CPR certification that includes adult, child, and infant procedures. Possession of a nationally recognized water safety certification or equivalent desirable but not required; however, possession will increase hiring potential and hourly wage. Pre-employment screening required for swim ability, rescue skills and CPR. Must have experience with cash handling to account for large amounts of cash with no errors. Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds. Must possess a valid driver's license. Satisfactory completion of installation records checks, state and national criminal background checks may be required for positions that provide lifesaving duties for children. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must have Hepatitis B immunization. " This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use ."
