You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN LEADER in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:

- Applying knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and instruments for electrical work operations.
- Instruct various levels of electricians on proper work procedures and methods, use of tools, and safety pertaining to shop trade skills.
- Verify work progress and ensure that the proper protective equipment is being used and safety practices are being followed by crew members
- Ensures crew members follow the work sequences, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met.
- Ensures that the necessary material, tools, blueprints, and any software and equipment is furnished and available to crew members to perform the work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work orders.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
