SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (Title 32)

THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION

DUTY LOCATION: United Stated Property & Fiscal Office (USPFO), Hartford, CT

AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to the USPFO of the Connecticut Army National Guard.

Requirements:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 24 months of specialized experience in the following:

• Experience, education, or training dealing with cost estimates, budgets or funding management.
• Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management or of supply program management to perform recurring assignments, operations, and/or procedures dealing with supply issues and problems.
• Skill in weighing the impact of variables such as cost, existing policies and procedures , data processing requirements and other issues that influence the course of action.
• Knowledge of accepted methods, techniques, and standardized automated databases o search for and analyze information, resolve questions, prepare entries for supply record systems, and provide supply information, reports, and services.
• Knowledge to perform analytical assignments involving a specific issue associated with supply management or operations, or to study and recommend solutions for a segment of a broad study involving several issues or problems.

COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: For temporary promotions, the MOS and unit remains with the permanent position from which temporarily promoted. However, rank requirement must be met to avoid grade inversion. ???????

MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application): Enlisted: E-5 through E-9
UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: Any unit within the state

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a security clearance (secret) which the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) is a mandatory condition of employment, subject to availability of resources. NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC must be completed within 6 months of assignment to this position. Failure to complete course(s) may result in reassignment or termination of full-time employment unless extenuating circumstances preclude course attendance.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: You will be required to serve a 2-year trial period during which we will evaluate your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In determining if your employment advances the public interest, we may consider:

- your performance and conduct;
- the needs and interests of the agency;
- whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and
- whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service.

Upon completion of your trial periodyour employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
