This position is located within the United States Coast Guard, Coast Guard Counterintelligence Service (CGCIS) Insider Threat Division. This position is the senior Computer Scientist for the USCG's Insider Threat Program. The USCG's Insider Threat Program is required by Executive Order 13587 to provide proactive detection, deterrence, and mitigation of risks posed by individuals with authorized access to the USCG's assets, information, technology, and operations.Requirements:
To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Specialized experience must include the following:
- Applying advanced data science techniques such as machine learning, statistical modeling, or artificial intelligence.
- Developing and deploying analytical models using programming languages.
- Translating complex data into actionable insights for operational or strategic decision-making.
- Leading or mentoring technical teams or serving as a subject matter expert.
- Implementing qualitative and quantitative methods for identifying large data sets.
- Recommending standard business practices regarding information technology capabilities that support the agency's mission.
