Description:
You will serve as the Network Lead within the Information Technology Operations Branch of the Corporate Operations Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading a technical team by delegating tasks, managing network-related projects, and overseeing the lifecycle of hardware, software, or operating systems to ensure optimal data communications and network security.Examples of qualifying experience may include:
- Managing and securing complex Information System Networks.
- A strong technical command of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), routing and switching, and the use of advanced network troubleshooting tools to ensure system availability.
- Assessing risks and vulnerabilities within a network infrastructure and applying Cyber Security tools and industry best practices to mitigate threats.
