You will serve as a Computer Engineer in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, SE & ALRE GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:- Serve as AAG Software Subject Matter Expert providing lifecycle systems/software engineering, including requirements definition, design, development, integration, test, implementation, and fleet in-service support.
- Apply advanced computer engineering/computer science principles (algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, networking protocols) across Windows, Linux, embedded, and real-time environments.
- Develop and document software engineering products such as specifications, interface and module designs, I/O definitions, file/database layouts, and verification/validation test plans; perform feasibility studies and top-down system design for hardware/software interfaces and intersystem integration.
- Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), In-Service Engineering activities, contractors, and fleet operators/maintainers to translate systems engineering and operational inputs into actionable technical requirements, schedules, and work plans; mentor and train engineers on software design and development best practices.
- Work closely with software configuration management and change control for mission/safety-critical AAG Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs), including evaluation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), participation/leadership in Software Change Control Boards and Engineering Review Boards, and assessment of technical adequacy of proposed changes.
