Description:
The Office of the Assistant Legal Advisor for Ethics and Financial Disclosure (L/EFD) provides legal advice and technical services concerning the standards of ethical conduct and financial disclosure reporting for the entire Department and is responsible for reviewing and processing approximately 7000 public and confidential financial disclosure forms each year, including nominees for more than 200 Presidentially Appointed, Senate Confirmed (PAS) positions in the Department.

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience coordinating or managing complex vetting or review processes involving multiple stakeholders and sensitive information.
- Experience serving as a subject matter expert or resource on regulatory, compliance, or procedural matters for colleagues or leadership.
- Experience reviewing, certifying, or analyzing high volumes of reports or documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Experience developing, maintaining, or utilizing electronic databases or tracking systems to manage program data and reporting requirements.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
