Description:

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating, and managing programs and policies that support the secure, timely, and efficient distribution of classified and sensitive materials. This involves ensuring
readiness and effectiveness of personnel, managing security programs, and applying expertise to inform policy decisions

Requirements:

You may qualify at the GS-GS-12 if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Designing, developing, and implementing technical training programs for adult learners.
  • Managing both physical and personnel security programs, to include handling clearances and investigating incidents.
  • Managing large-scale logistics and transportation systems, particularly for moving sensitive or classified materials.
  • Creating and managing evaluation programs to ensure compliance with established standards. Interpreting and adapting complex, high-level policies for use by operational units.
  • Acting as a liaison between different government agencies or commands to solve operational problems is necessary.OR

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
