The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Security Specialist ensuring AFIMSC support to HQ Air Mobility Command (AMC).

Requirements:

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position you must meet the qualification requirements listed below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicants must have or will have within 120 days of this announcement closing at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-2, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in expertise on the coordination of antiterrorism staff initiatives, implementation of policies and procedures including antiterrorism processes and assessments. Conducts antiterrorism program reviews, vulnerability assessments, mission assurance assessments, and other surveys to identify and recommend strategic initiatives as needed. Monitors threat assessment, asset criticality, vulnerability assessments, and exercises to assess risk to personnel and resources and to assist with development of risk mitigation strategies while providing great customer service.".

Ideal Candidate Statement
-The ideal candidate will have both base-level and intermediate headquarters level knowledge, skills and experience with USAF Security Forces enterprise and be able to assume liaison responsibilities between AMC and HQ AFIMSC for all Security Forces Installation and Mission Support matters within the first 30 days of employment in this position. Within 90 days, the candidate will be expected to manage Security Forces resources, review and validate fiscal-year execution plans, advocate for mission-critical projects, conduct comprehensive antiterrorism (AT) assessments and program reviews, and serve as the course coordinator for AT Level II training. The candidate must also be capable of directing AMC's Security Forces MPA program, forecasting requirements, and validating taskings in alignment with AMC priorities. Prior experience leading Security Forces operations, resource management, antiterrorism (AT), mission assurance, or MAJCOM-level staff work is highly desirable.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Extensive knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices as they relate to Antiterrorism and Force Protection. 2. Extensive knowledge of DoD and Air Force physical security programs to include risk management methodology, analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to conduct survey studies, accomplish projects, and evaluate management of Antiterrorism programs. 3. Knowledge of security force programs and governing policies, directives, instructions, and procedures. 4. Knowledge of force protection and security equipment, devices, systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures. 5. Knowledge of counter sUAS equipment, devices, systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures. 6. Ability to effectively manage and organize various program activities and tasks. Be familiar with administrative requirements of HQ AMC and HQ AFIMSC.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE : Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
