This vacancy is for a GS-0028-13, LEAD ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, CGD East INCIDENT MANAGEMENT BRANCH-DRM in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.Requirements:
To qualify at the GS- 13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.
- Providing qualitative analysis of pollution response strategies and tactics for effectiveness in mitigating pollution impacts during actual events or exercises.
- Analyzing contingency plans for best recommendations to minimize impacts to resources at risk during real world or tabletop spill scenarios.
- Developing and maintaining Salvage and Marine Firefighting policy.
- Experience of coordination of Natural Resource Trustees in addressing environmental impacts and consultation on removal actions.
- Coordinating NCP special teams for real world events and exercise.
NOTE: Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level.
