Description:
MACPAC, a non-partisan legislative branch agency that advises the U.S. Congress on Medicaid and CHIP policy issues, is seeking a Human Resources Specialist.The Human Resources Specialist (HRS) supports HR and facilities operations at MACPAC and works directly with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to manage personnel actions, employee onboarding and separations, records, policies, and administrative support.
Requirements:
In order to perform the major duties above, the Human Resources Specialist must have:- knowledge of administrative and record keeping procedures;
- familiarity with or willingness to learn about federal rules and regulations as they apply to human resources matters and travel;
- strong and consistent organizational skills;
- ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing responsibilities and tasks;
- ability to successfully work with MACPAC senior management, staff, federal contractors and other stakeholders;
- strong oral and written communications skills;
- ability to be discerning and use good judgement;
- ability to accomplish tasks in a timely, accurate manner;
- an orientation toward problem solving, teamwork, and accountability; and
- willingness to engage in learning and development.
- ability to occasionally lift 30 pounds and move rolling furniture.
