This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsible to plan, manage, coordinate, and integrate all actions needed to prepare the Commander, United States Transportation Command for mission critical CONUS and OCONUS travel obligations and agendas in support of the DoD and the Command's objectives for official travel, visits, and appearances to both internal Air Force and external (Department of Defense, US Congress, foreign government, private sector) hosts.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS GS-09, GS-11 or GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Specialized experience is defined as:A. Managing, planning, and maintaining long-term travel schedule for a Commander which include; trip preparations, itinerary development, travel (including airlift management), ground transportation, lodging, security arrangements, protocol, and foreign clearance requirements coordinating and scheduling briefings, office calls, speeches, press conferences, and social functions associated with a Commander's travel events. Organizing trip preparation meetings for personnel including officer and enlisted aides, country desk officers, public affairs, protocol, Dept of State Political Officer (POLAD), medical, security personnel and all others as directed by the CDR and/or direct level executive staff. OR
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
