Description:

You will serve as a ELECTRICIAN SUPERVISOR I in the Electrical/Electronics Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

  • Managing electrical work operations; conducting quality checks or inspections of electrical equipment or products to determine quality, condition, or overall appearance.
  • Leading trade journeymen in the performance of complex repairs and alterations; planning the use of workers, equipment, and facilities.
  • Determining method of repair, adjust, replace, and test through troubleshooting.
  • Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and local procedures.
  • Conducting quality checks or inspections of electrical equipment or products to determine quality, condition, or overall appearance.
  • Setting priorities and coordinate the availability of equipment for routine maintenance.
