This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA).This position serves as the Director for Interagency Coordination and Policy. The selectee reports to the Director for MDA Strategy, Plans and Resources
Requirements:
You may qualify at the 04 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 4 out of the 5 specialized experience listed below to be qualified:
- Experience in U.S. National Security and missile defense policy and strategies and missile defense programs.
- Understands and interprets national security and missile defense policy in order to advise MDA functional and program efforts. Skilled in conducting analyses and studies by using critical thinking; identifying issues; analyzing problems; conducting research; developing courses of action; analyzing results; and ability to develop recommendations on complex and sensitive missile defense policy and international affairs issues.
- Experience in the functions of the USG Interagency, OSD, the regional Combatant Commanders, the Joint Staff, and the Military Departments and their roles in policy formulation and execution.
- Experience in U.S. foreign policy and the national security policy-making environment and coordination process.
- Experience in communicating orally and writing and the ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
