Description:
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer. The selectee will serve as the Construction Operations Manager on AOC construction programs and/or projects that are large in scale, scope and complexity.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Candidates for the GS-14 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes the following:
- Ability to manage staff and ensure difficult work is accomplished on numerous projects on time with concurrent deadline.
- Planning, organizing, and administering a multi-million-dollar construction management program;
- Providing leadership and oversight for a construction management workforce and/or construction programs/projects and provides input on performance management evaluations; and
- Advising and providing solutions to senior level management on major issues on construction projects and complex problems that cross organizational boundaries.
