Description:

You will serve as a LIFTING AND HANDLING SUPERVISOR in the INSPECTION, QUALITY ASSURANCE AND TRAINING DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Requirements:

GS-12
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and overseeing all work performed within area of responsibility.
  • Experience recommending corrective actions, coordinating solutions of problem between the shop and crane project teams, and managing analysis of data using quality control techniques to determine most efficient methods or processes.
  • Experience applying knowledge of weight handling equipment testing, inspection methods, procedures, materials, processes, and record keeping procedures using in supporting major industrial ship repairs, facilities, plants and equipment.
  • Experience applying knowledge of project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control, and work flow control techniques related to weight handling inspection operations in support of ship repair projects.
  • Experience applying knowledge of administrative and personnel management and supervision.
