Description:
You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHIP SUPERINTENDENT in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:* Experience with shipyard work operations and shop practices.
* Experience with all phases of ship repair and overhaul.
* Experience in production control, budget control, determining material availability and personnel management.
* Experience providing guidance on the ship repairs process and coordinating necessary corrective actions involving production errors.
* Experience making recommendations for techniques and procedures resulting in increased efficiency; and effectively communicating both orally and in writing in order to inform, advise, train, guide, or persuade a variety of audiences.
* Experience managing job order costs, work progress reports, manpower allotment and material availability
