THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number NGT5717000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW, National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 114 (Smoky Mountain Chapter).
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must have experience managing, supervising, leading, administering, developing, delivering, and supporting information technology (IT) systems and services. Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods, e.g., data storage, software applications, networking; thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. Experience working with customers who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, or other agencies, or organizations outside the government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations. Experience identifying problems using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving and have at least 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11 or 36 months specialized IT experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that requires adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies which involves summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Experience relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication and non-repudiation. Knowledge of information technology (IT) risk management policies, requirements and procedures.
