Requirements:

- An undergraduate or graduate degree in related fields such as Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Administration/ Management, or Recreation OR twelve (12) months work experience in an indoor or outdoor environment with aquatic, wellness, and/ or recreational programs, events, and facilities.
- Possesses demonstrated experience in development, planning and execution of aquatic, wellness, and/ or recreational programs/ events.
- Possesses experience in supervision and/ or management of staff, events, and/ or programs.
- Possesses and maintains the following certifications:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED
- Lifeguard Instructor (Red Cross)
The following certification must be obtained within 6 months of appointment: ( Training will be facility funded.)
- Aquatic Facilities Operator (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
- Online Training for Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), CLC222 Section 893.
- MWR Sports and Fitness Administration Course.
- Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.
