Description:

You will serve as a Lead Radar Systems Engineer in the EXPEDITIONARY RADARS ENGR BRANCH (B45), in the ADVANCED RADARS SYSTEMS DIVISION, in the ELECTROMAGNETIC & SENSOR SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Requirements:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist applying radar, sensor, combat system, or systems engineering principles to overseeing complex and integrated system requirements definition, risk assessment, and test and evaluation efforts.
Examples may include: (1) leading staff consisting of a diverse team of scientists and engineers on complex engineering programs and technical reviews; (2) advising and proposing technical recommendations to leadership on engineering programs; (3) collaborating with stakeholders on the development, update, and application of processes, methodologies, and analyses associated with radar and systems engineering; (4) knowledge of the Department of War Acquisition process, systems engineering process, and radar system development, sensor system development, and/or combat system development.
