This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, collection, analysis, measurement and reporting of various cost, budget, economic, capability and program data.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Initiating, planning, and conducting studies and analysis that produce estimates of requirements (financials, personnel, materiel, and facilities) for Capability Gap Assessments, and Capability Portfolio Management Reviews, and the Planning Programming Budget and Execution (PPBE).
- Applying and adapting principles, practices, and analytic strategies from the quantitative social sciences.
- Performing research and continuous learning in specialized areas to develop and maintain a state-of-the-art competency in mathematical and statistical techniques.
- Knowledge of technical publications, regulations, directives, manuals, and policy statements to determine their effect on current policy statements and approaches to various analysis studies.
Degree In operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
