This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-07, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service:
- Aiding in analytical research in order to support manpower programs.
- Communicating factual and procedural information clearly.
- Identifying basic instructions and procedures to follow.
B. You have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related;
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
You may qualify at the GS-GS-09 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service:
- Preparing documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information.
- Analyzing gathered manpower data to formulate a solution from a number of possible alternatives.
- Planning and executing projects to inform manpower programs.
OR
B. You have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related;
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
You may qualify at the GS-GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service:
- Performing analytical studies/projects and assignments related to manpower management, organization and mission planning.
- Negotiating effectively with senior management officials both within and outside the organization.
- Utilizing pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents as well as budget, budget priorities, and impact priorities which affect the manpower program and functions.
B. You possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
C. You have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and you have more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. You have computed the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
You may qualify at the GS-GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
- Conducting comprehensive manpower and organizational analyses of organizations, functions, and work processes.
- Providing supervisors/managers and senior leadership advice relating to effective and efficient management of manpower resources.
- Performing research/analyses to provide comprehensive background information and data relating to sound manpower policies/programs.
