This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Chief, Joint Secretariat and the United States Transportation Command's (USTRANSCOM) Chief Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) and Senior Information Management Officer (IMO).Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Knowledge of DoD and Joint Staff Knowledge Management (KM) theories, concepts, processes, best practices, and use of foundational KM technologies.
- Plans, organizes, leads, oversees, and facilitates Command Workflow activities for the Command and communication strategies focused on creating and sustaining understanding and awareness of command priorities, policies, goals, and objectives.
- Identifies KM program requirements ensuring alignment of KM activities to the command's mission, goals, and objectives.
- Plans and schedules work to be accomplished by subordinates, adjusting short-term priorities as needed.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
