This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsible for To serve as a Chief with first level supervisory responsibilities for planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to accomplish the following mandatory DoD programs. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
- Serving as lead for cross-discipline integration of physical, information, industrial and personnel security programs, and continuity of operations, emergency management, and anti terrorism programs.
- Identifying employee developmental needs and providing or arranging for training (formal and on-the-job) to maintain and improve job performance and encourages self-development.
- Applying multi-functional subject-matter-expertise in the development, writing and review of security instructions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
