These Animal Packer (Custodial) positions will be located in the east district of Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), duty stationed out of Estes Park, CO, and will work independently with a pack team of up to four (4) llamas to service backcountry restroom facilities.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:- Ability to perform the duties of an Animal Packer (Custodial) WG-5001-06 without more than normal supervision. (SCREEN OUT) - Animal Packer workers at this level perform the following duties: Perform minor maintenance such as clearing clogged drains, painting, replacing toilet seats and installing dispensers. Hike to backcountry toilet facilities to process waste and recycling, while leading llamas or other pack animals to pack tools and supplies in and solid waste out. Use and maintain custodial equipment and operate vehicles and pickup trucks to transport supplies, materials and pack animals.
