- Planning the division of workload among subordinates based on capabilities of assigned and available employees, materials and equipment, and taking necessary corrective action to avoid delays.
- Requisitioning tools, materials and equipment needed, determining the most efficient use of these items.
- Interpreting blueprints and preparing layouts, patterns, and sketches.
- Overseeing the use of safety equipment.
- Adhering to non-nuclear and/or nuclear guidelines, such as the Nuclear Power Manuals, Radiological Controls for Shipyard, Radiological Work Practices Handbook to perform duties.
