THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number D0734000 and is part of the ME 101st Maintenance Squadron, National Guard.

NOTE: If you do not possess the compatible AFSC, you will not be disqualified from being considered. Selected applicant must be prepared to attend the appropriate school.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, and/or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to provide technical assistance and organize assignments for subordinates; estimate materials and manpower needed for specific jobs; read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and technical publications; and maintain records and reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
n addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Must have thirty-six (36) months experience which required the applicant to acquire and apply each of the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
1. Ability to plan and organize the work of the assigned organization.
2. Ability to meet deadlines.
3. Knowledge of aircraft repair functions.
4. Ability to work with others.
5. Ability to oversee and train subordinate supervisors, to deal objectively with workers and render sound supervisory decisions.
6. Ability to devise new methods.
