Employee will serve as an Education Technician within Education Service located at the Veterans Healthcare System in Spokane, WA.Requirements:
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SCREEN-OUT) - A Selective Placement Factor (SPF) has been identified for this position. Selective Placement Factors (SPF) are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Requires one full year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: planning, developing, and coordinating overall training; tracking training assignments and completions; collecting and analyzing data to look for opportunities to reach training goals; managing and communicating both in-person and in-writing with new employees, with training instructors/presenters, and scheduling the training/presentations. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The work is generally sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the administrative portions of the job. However, there is walking, standing, some bending, lifting, and transporting items related to the training (e.g. books, binders, training materials) which weigh less than 40 pounds. The work requires infrequent travel off-site to the Community Based Outpatient Clinics and/or government leased space requiring the employee to possess a driver's license to operative a government vehicle.
