This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be serving as Contracting Officer with unlimited signatory authority for a significant system or program. The programs require a diverse type of contract support, distinguished by all contract types, the aggregate value of which is in the hundreds of millions of dollars.Requirements:
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
- Manages the entire life cycle of diverse procurement instruments, including developing alternatives, executing orders, and overseeing all aspects of contract administration from inception to final closeout.
- Applies regulatory, statutory and policy requirements to the full procurement process, including conducting market research, acquisition planning, cost/price analysis, solicitation, source selection, negotiation, and award of contracts.
- Applies the knowledge of contracting methods, contract types, negotiation techniques, and post-award administration, while providing oversight, consultation to management, and development of local procurement policies.
- A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
