Description:
This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Fort Sam Houston Jimmy Brought Fitness Center Indoor Pool.
This is a flexible position with guaranteed 00 hours per week. You may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a flexible category position are not eligible for benefits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized Lifeguard Certification covering lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills, and procedures. Must possess a current and valid Nationally recognized Water Safety Instructor Certification. Must posses a current and valid Nationally recognized Basic First Aid Certification. Must posses a current and valid Nationally recognized CPR certification which includes adult, child, and infant procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Skill in performing water rescues
2. Knowledge of established rules of safety and behavior for a swimming facility.
3. Skill in monitoring activities within swimming areas to identify risks
4. Skill in administering CPR and first aid.
