The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is March to October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: March 23rd, 2026

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

1. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
2. Knowledge of equipment, assembly, installation, repair, etc.
3. Technical Practices. Competency
4. Use of Measuring Instruments.
5. Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (includes blueprint reading)
6. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment

SCREEN OUT: Able to perform duties with guidance and review by a higher graded operator including assisting with maintenance tasks in the following trades: plumbing, water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment, collection system and lift station operations, corrective and preventative maintenance related to industry equipment. Repair and installation of water pipes, valves, fire hydrants, and related public water system appurtenances. Utilize most hand and power tools associated with these trades.
