This position is within the Bonneville Power Administration's Office of the Chief Administrative Office (N), Supply Chain Services (NS), in the Technology and Strategic Planning (NST) organization. As the GS-14 manager, you will lead a team driving the strategy and technology for BPA's supply chain. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in leading a project or team or serving as technical expert (1) analyzing components of supply chain (e.g., property/inventory management, contracting, purchasing, fleet, labor management, business system administration, technical contract requirements gathering or administration, etc.) AND (2) planning and implementing changes to one or more business or supply chain practices or processes to improve business and operational productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
