Requirements:
GS-09:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience carrying out program planning, evaluation and technical advisory assignments in traffic management questions, problems and projects.
- Experience determining the carrier, compares costs most efficiently, economical or expeditious of shipment for motor, rail, air or freight.
- Experience classifying commodities on domestic and export shipments moving commercially by air, water, rail and/or motor.
- Experience preparing Bill of Lading and other require shipping document.
- Experience maintaining all required transportation records and submit reports, perform inspections, and inbound/outbound motor vehicles and railcars loaded with hazardous materials to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience operating transportation systems to determine carrier types of service in order to find the best economical and efficient methods.
- Experience performing analytical surveys and studies of traffic management functions, operating methods, procedures and performances.
- Experience advising classifying commodities in domestic and exporting shipments.
- Experience performing inspections on inbound and outbound motor vehicles with hazardous materials and analyze and determine requirements for special movement having hazardous, secret qualities or urgency of shipment requirements to meet the customer's needs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
