Once eligibility and qualification requirements are met, you will be eligible for promotion at management discretion to the GS-9 without further competition. The minimum salary for a GS-7 is $52,688 and the maximum is $68,496. The minimum salary for a GS-9 is $64,448 and the maximum is $83,787.
Requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-5) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.Specialized experience is defined as:
- Applying laws, regulations, or policies governing financial or pay practices to assist customers with legal process or financial questions; and
- Using automated systems to review or process transactions.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-5 or higher grade in Federal Service.
** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing. **
