This WG-5803-10 Seasonal Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic is located at Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah.This is a Temporary, Seasonal appointment not to exceed 1560 hours.
Anticipated Entry on Duty (EOD): May 3rd, 2026.
Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors AND they must be CLEARLY demonstrated in your resume :- Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT): Experience performing common tasks under general direction in a full automotive service shop on heavy trucks, equipment, and automotive vehicles. Resume should demonstrate you have performed most or all of the following: replaced spark plugs, replaced water hoses and installed water pumps; replaced brake pads, replaced accessory belts and changed the oil on gas and diesel engines.
- Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
- Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
- Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
- Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
- Trouble shooting
- Use of Measuring Instructions
