This WG-5803-10 Seasonal Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic is located at Zion National Park in Springdale, Utah.

This is a Temporary, Seasonal appointment not to exceed 1560 hours.

Anticipated Entry on Duty (EOD): May 3rd, 2026.

Requirements:

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors AND they must be CLEARLY demonstrated in your resume :

1. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT): Experience performing common tasks under general direction in a full automotive service shop on heavy trucks, equipment, and automotive vehicles. Resume should demonstrate you have performed most or all of the following: replaced spark plugs, replaced water hoses and installed water pumps; replaced brake pads, replaced accessory belts and changed the oil on gas and diesel engines.
2. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
3. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
4. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
5. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
6. Trouble shooting
7. Use of Measuring Instructions
