For the GS-07:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Government Micro purchase Credit Card/Agency Program Coordinator; 2) Transactional accounting or prior year accounting; 3) Time & Attendance Customer Service Representative or timekeeper; 4) Budget execution. This experience must be at least 52 weeks and documented in your resume.
For the GS-09:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assist in the formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs and activities; 2) Review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures; 3) Interpreting development, determination of budgetary policies and practices; 4) Performing studies and/or assisting other with full scale studies; 5) Researches guides to locate accounting, budgetary, and financial information and/or prepares summaries for use by managers.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
