You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist in the Office of Counsel of NAVSUP FLC PUGET SOUND.Requirements:
GS-09 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Assist in analyzing the contents of applicable case files and carry out self-developed plans to gather information and applicable law; 2) Assist in case preparation for litigation and analyzes facts and legal questions; 3) Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to apply various laws, court and/or administrative decisions and interpretations, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to contract law, personnel law, and litigation; 4) Receives and evaluates Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and processes the requests in accordance with law, regulations, and procedures established by DOD; 5) Verifies legal citations for correspondence and maintains the law library and files.GS-07 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Assist in analyzing the contents of applicable case files; 2) Assist in case preparation for litigation and analyzes facts and legal questions; 3) Knowledge of and ability to apply various laws, court and/or administrative decisions and interpretations, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to contract law, personnel law, and litigation; 4) Receives and evaluates Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and processes the requests in accordance with law, regulations, and procedures established by DOD; 5) Verifies legal citations for correspondence and maintains the law library and files.
