THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0915000 and is part of the IL AASF 3, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
- The area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades : Enlisted Only - May not exceed the rank requirement of SFC.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-07 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level; Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, including individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; Experience performing these duties with greater independence, complexity, or responsibility consistent. GS-06 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade; Knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; Experience conducting searches for required information; reconstructing records for supply transactions; and/or providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; Experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, records, memoranda, or other documentation. GS-05 Level - MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Demonstrated knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports. Experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced.
