Description:

Employee will be assigned to Medicine Service, VA Healthcare System, Sheridan, WY. Duties will entail oversight of administrative aspects of service operations and programs to include: personnel management, data gathering, analysis, tracking, trending and reporting, budget preparation and other fiscal duties including fund control point management and other expenditure tracking, writing reports and controlled correspondence and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE-GS9 : Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: coordinating the administrative functions of a program/project involved with planning, staffing, directing, and budgeting; gathering and analyzing data; providing resource management in the areas of supplies/space/equipment; serving as a human resources liaison; and utilizing a variety of computer applications to prepare correspondence and reports.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE-GS9 ( Transcript Required ) - Applicants must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
OR
COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-GS9 ( Transcript Required ) - Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE-GS11 ( Transcript Required ) - Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. This education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
OR
COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-GS11 ( Transcript Required ) - Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

Physical Requirements: The duties and responsibilities of this position require some mobility between the office and various other offices (clinical or administrative) located at any of the health care system sites. Generally, the work is sedentary but may require some slight physical effort.
